Richards Small House

The Arthur L. Richards Small House lies just east of the Richards Duplex Apartments on West Burnham Blvd. It was constructed on speculation in 1916 and is the only known example of this type of small house design. It is differentiated from the American System-Built bungalow by the flat roof, the bay window, and the lack of a porch.

At that time of our visit, this house was being restored by the Frank Lloyd Wright Wisconsin Program. Interior photographs were taken with the permission of the restoration architect.

Location: 2714 West Burnham Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53215
The home is open for tours the 2nd Saturday and 4th Saturday of each month. Reservations are not necessary. Admission fee.
