Samuel Freeman Residence (1923), Los Angeles, California


The Samuel Freeman residence is the third of the California textile-block houses designed by Wright and was constructed using both plain and patterned blocks. Clinging to a hillside in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, only the rear of the house was visible for a photograph.
