Peter A. Beachy Residence (1906), Oak Park, Illinois

Originally a commission to remodel an existing house, the Peter A. Beachy Residence incorporates the existing structure into the Wright-designed additions. Constructed of brick and plaster with wood trim, the Beachy Residence is on one of the largest residential lots in Oak Park. Wright apparently bowed to the wishes of the client inasmuch as there is no art glass and the scale of the building is much larger than most of the other Prairie houses.

Location: 238 Forest Avenue, Oak Park, IL 60302
