Chauncey L. Williams Residence (1895), River Forest, Illinois


The Chauncey L. Williams Residence was built of Roman brick and plaster and was scaled to accommodate Williams’ height of 6’4″. The original dormers were replaced in 1901, although one original dormer survives on the rear side of the house. A library was originally housed in the octagonal room to the left of the front door.
