Science Building (1953), Florida Southern College, Lakeland, Florida


Designed in 1953 and completed in 1958 at a cost of $1,000,000, the Science and Cosmography Building was the last of Wright’s buildings to be constructed on the campus. Now known as the Polk Science Building, the structure contains the only planetarium in Central Florida and is the only planetarium designed by Wright to be constructed.
